Re: 10 second test

Correct me, but you can export the Macro as a text file ... There is currently no Import/Export for Macros - there should be and there is an ENH enhancement request for that: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2296 In the meantime there is a workaround. Macros are storied a simple TX...

Oh, right. I forgot. I'm the only breathing human that does manual Time Machines.

I have two 2TB backup disks in Manchester and an offsite 2TB disk here in Zurich (which gets refreshed each visit) 8-) :ugeek:

Re: Sync Lock not working

and I also added this Top Tip: If you want to ensure that all audio (tracks and clips) and label tracks remain aligned as you move a Sync-Locked Track Group, add an extra track of generated Silence for the entire length of the Sync-Locked Track Group (this then "overlaps" all the audio in ...

Re: Sync Lock not working

It won't - because our Release Manager (and lead developer) has decided that he agrees with Steve that it is not a bug and he has closed it. https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2504#c6 I will be updating the Manual for 3.0.0 to...

Re: Newbie Questions on Tracking and Project Rates

I made the (expensive) mistake of cleaning the stylus on my lovely Shure V15-III cart with a sable brush dipped in alcohol. D-oh it removed the tip - it turned out cheaper to buy a new cart that retip the V15-III Sad indeed. My current cartridge is a Grado (chosen primarily because my turntable req...

Re: Newbie Questions on Tracking and Project Rates

As one who has gotten through digitizing most my own ~300 LP collection I can tell you it is a slow processes (I've been at it, in fits and start for about eight years now). That sounds about par for the course - and after I'd finished mine I had to work on my wife's ;) For particularly noisy recor...
