Gale,

does this nighly build with Marco's noise removal patch also include Nikolay's patch for the Timer Recording "fix" - or do I need to keep both versions for testing?

And if you do use the USB connection, just make sure that the RCA plugs cannot short by touching each other or touching a common piece of metal (I used to cover mine with insulating tape).

You need to be in Stop mode and not simply in Pause mode for the editing tools to become operative.

It is a bit confusing because yes you can select audio while in Pause mode - but you can't do a lot with it uin that mode. :?

When you plug in a USB device like this your computer hands over control of all sound services to the USB device - both input and output. Since your USB device doesn't have a set of speakers, you then don't get any sound from the computer (not even the normal computer sounds). All you need to do is ...

No - but you need to be sure that the project rate and the sample format is the same for both projects. In Audacity see Edit > Preferences > Quality

Select the portion of audio you wish to fade (use your cursor to click & drag to make the selection) - and then use Effect > Fade Out
