What version is 1.3 beta unicode? ... Should be 1.3.12 if you got it from the authorized site - you should always be able to detect which version you have by clicking Help > About Audacity. There are also Nightly (alpha) builds available which are the latest code but which may contain bugs. WC

Thousands eh? I don't envy your task -I only had around 250 (that I hadn't already bought again on CD) and about 100 tapes - and that took over two and a half years. And now I have just started on my wife's similarly sized collection

you can set timer points in 1.3 but not in 1.2

In 1.2 it will help you if you zoom out (use the magnifying glass icon)

Reading a few FAQs, it was explained that in order to place the music on itunes, I needed to convert it to mpg3 format ... Actually you don't need MP3 since you are working in iTunes/iPod-land. Since you are using iTunes on a MAC I would recommend that you consider using Apple's AAC compressed form...
