Re: Click Removal Tool
Yes Audacity's tool should do it ok - but IMHO ClickRepair is a much more effective tool. Since you are using 1.3 Audacity you could also try the Repair effect. This will fix up to 128 sound samples by interpolating from the neighbouring waveform. You would need to identify where the click is by lis...

Re: How to remove very low mouth sounds from podcast
Is there a way to donate to this forum? Hi Frank, the elves on the forum appreciate all the help we can get (there aren't that many of us!). What we really like is someone who develops some experience and skills with Audacity coming back here and helping out other less-skilled users with answers to...

Re: separating tracks in the timeline
I'm a little unclear as to what youhave here. If you have all the music tracks one after the other (in a single Audacity track - mono or stereo pair, whichever you are using) - then it is relatively starightforward as you can use labelling staright off - see this article in the Wiki: http://wiki.aud...

Re: Improving old, muddy tapes to digital
Hmmm, if I knew exactly what I was doing, I'd definitely try the azimuth tweak. But I've never done that before & I don't wanna risk messing up the machine. (it's an old reel to reel) It might be worth having a quick Google on t'interweb to see if some kind soul has uploaded a manual for your o...

Re: adding audio problem
If it just plays fast, then I'm guessing that you've imported a clip which is recorded at a different project rate to the rest of your project.
Or if it plays super super fast, then I'm guessing that you are importing a soundfile of a type that is not recognized and supported by Audacity.

Re: Blowing out the mic port in my desktop computer
You certainly could do - mic level is much lower level input than line level (by a factor of around 1000 IIRC). Some mic inputs have clever gizmos that detect when line level is plugged into them and adjust accordingly. Unless you are sure that yours is one of those (you will need to read the specs ...

Re: Defining Songs.
Have a look at this workflow tutorial on exporting from Audacity to iTunes that I wrote for the 1.3/2.0 manual a while back: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... _to_iTunes

Re: Individual song MP3 files
Since you're new to this, you might want to have a look at this set of tutorials in the manual for 1.3: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... iscs_to_CD
The one that Bill pointed you to above is part of this set.

Re: Audacity and ASIO driver
Yes but you did not understand what I was saying - II'm sure the Audacity decelopers would love to do this but cannot because it would violate the terms of its GLP licensing and stop it being an open source project.

Re: Audacity and ASIO driver
What Koz is trying to say by pointing you at that link is that is not a technology issue that ASIO is not bundled with Audacity - but rather an IPR licensing issue. Steinberg holds the licensing rights for ASIO and if ASIO were included, then the open-source GPL licensing of Audacity would be vioate...
