I have successfully installed most 1.3 systems on my XP-HE and XP-PRO - I currently have 1.3.7 thru 1.3.12 Betas and several nightly builds of Alpha 1.3.13 - no problem installing or running any of them. If you have 1.3.6 that is now pretty old - upgrade to 1.3.12 - get it from here: http://audacity...

And re #2
In 1.2.x Audacity you could choose between ID3v versions ID3v1 and ID3v2 - this choice has been removed in 1.3.x Audacity where only ID3v2 is used.

Re: Plays through file at lightening speed
You are almost certainly trying to import a file type that Audacity does not support. Audacity Supports WAV, MP3, OGG and FLAC & MP2 in 1.3. If this is the case you have two basic options: 1. find and use some converter software to convert your file to a type that Audacity supports 2. play the f...

Or even iTunes. I use iTunes because I have a couple of iPods - but it makes a very good jukebox on my PC too. You don't need an iPod as you can just download iTunes for free from the Apple website - the implemention for windows runs well on PCs (well on my XP sytems anyway - I can't vouch for Vista...

A tip on the use of ClickRepair: To ensure that I always get my "correct" settings - I created a Custom setting, this way I can ensure that all my preferred settings are restored easily (including having Stereo=>Mono checked off).

ART also make a similar device (I use an ART pre-amp witha a separate Edirol soundcard). The build quality on my ART is superb and it produces good results - I would expect the integrated device to work well too. See: http://www.artproaudio.com/products.asp ... t=9&id=128

Re: multiple .wav File Import question
the other way is to use Import rather than Open.
Open a new project (or open the first wav file) and then Import the other WAV files.
