A big plus 1 from me too.
I would be able to usefuuly use this when editing out unwanted parts of radio shows that I record off-air.
Ed, are you going to submit the patch for full incorporation into Audacity?

Re: Workflow questions & Chris' Compression
if you have a multi-track project that you wish to preserve, then saving the project is the easiest way to back it it. Easiest but still not the safest - cautious people with such projects will export each track as a separate WAV file Are you saying that if I have a project with 20+ tracks, then ev...

See this page from the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.ph ... d_Playback
Note that this is the manual for 1.3 - but I have just advised you in your other thread to upgrade to 1.3 anyway

Re: Roller window on the tool bar

Don't be put off by the Beta labelling - 1.3 is now a pretty mature Beta and is much more stable on most modern computing environments that the older 1.2 series. You can get ...

Re: Workflow questions & Chris' Compression
With my LP conversions I always do click removal as the first process immediately after record/capture - and amplification is always the last step prior to export to production WAV files. I used to do click removal by hand - using the draw tool in 1.2.x - and in 1.3 using the Repair effect. But a co...

Re: Noise Reduction vs. Noise Removal
Richard, it looks like you are referencing a copy of the manual which is located on your PC (hence the C: drive in the "link"). I presume you are accessing it from the help, right? IIRC you can set your Audacity either to get online/web-based "Help" or to access "Help" ...

Re: Workflow questions & Chris' Compression
Richard, I can only really comment on your first question: the reason for exporting a WAV is that it is a single robust fairly transportable music file - and Audacity project is a very complex beast with lots of little audio clips strung together by the "recipe" in the .aup file - and some...
