Re: TRACK MENU (WHERE IS IT )
The LDPBT is there to alert you that the entire box is a drop-down menu, similar to, for example, the drop-down menus in the Device Toolbar. As I've been pondering this later today I figured that was pobably why it was there - thanks for the clarification Bill There's another thread somewhere that ...

Re: Back/Storage for Tapes/LPs
Pehaps considering a storage solution for the vinaly LPs would be worth while? Yeees... I foolishly gave most of my LPs away to the charity shop (thrift store) when we moved house last year and now wish that I hadn't. I had digibiitted them all - but now I realize I miss them :( ... I had to pay $5...

Re: TRACK MENU (WHERE IS IT )
I suspect the poster is referring to the drop-down menu which is available by clicking on the "Little-Downward-Pointing-Black-Triangle" - which is situated at the right in the top pane of the Track Control Panel (In Koz' example: next to the text which says "piano2 1") Update: yo...

Re: SPAM Debris?
That's my understanding too - and that's why I strongly believe that the default should be changed to "delete all posts" (i.e total extirpation) when you delete the user.stevethefiddle wrote:I think it can occur if you ban a user but do not select to delete all posts.

Re: Back/Storage for Tapes/LPs
I store my WAV files, two copies, on two separate external USB discs. I do sometimes make CDs but these are for playing in my car or on my hi-fi - they are not a reliable backup archive mechanism - the burning is a photo-chemical process similar to photos - and just like photos they can degrade over...

Re: Decode tapes using Dolby Noise Reduction
The other outside chance would be to scour around for a stand-alone Doby-B encder/decoder box. I remember the first ever "domestic" Dolby unit that I ever encountered was just such a box which an audiophile friend of mine went out and bought (at vast expense at the time) to enhance the rec...

Re: Labelling tracks
Rumpy, the quickest way to add a label is to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B - which adds a label at the current cursor position (or selected region)
Another useful keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+M which places a marker, which is basically a label, at the current recording or playback position.

Re: Labelling tracks
Yes, but you haven't addressed Steve's suggestion: <<<If you select the option in Export Multiple > Split files based on "tracks", then it means Audacity tracks, not songs. The option you need to use is Split files based on "Labels".>>> Are you sure that in your Export Multiple d...
