Re: marking clicks/pops during playback
You sure can - as the audio is playing just type CMND+M (Ctrl+M in Window-speak). Alternatively if the playbackhas already passed the click point then you can click your cursor on the required point and type CMND+B . You can also do this while recording. Having said that, unless you have very few cl...

Re: Unable to open target file for writing
Your 6th label probably contains at least one character which is not allowable in filenames - try sticking to simple alpha-numeric characters for labels.

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Also being English myself, my Oxford English Dictionary lists "capitalize" as the primary entry - with capitialse as the variant spelling :) One of my English teachers at school (a very long time ago now ...) was Scottish, and he always had us spelling such words with the z rather than the...

Re: Audacity interface naming question.
Thanks for the comments. Two more votes: one for "Mixing Panel" (which makes it the "winner") ... I think we really can't have two things called "Panel" in the Manual that are not the same type of entity ... Gale, your second comment there kind of rules out Mixing Pane...

Re: unnecessary echo recorded using StereoMix
...loads of people who are interested in recording live radio broadcasts. If you are doing actual real-time recording off-air as the radio station is broadcasting then you may be better off using an FM tuner (with a good aerial) connected to your PC. This is how I capture live FM performances. I ha...

Re: analog audio source switcher
Hi Bruno, thanks for making me think about this. It's been annoying me for a while now that I keep switcihing the leads to my external soundcard between my FM tuner and my TT (and occasionally tape or minidisc). I couldn't find the device that you referenced on Amazon UK - but I did find this fella ...

Re: problem recording from cassettes
I've just had a re-read of your initial post. If all you are doing is "Saving" then you won't have any usable Audio files. Save makes and Audacity project in its own internal format. To get usable audio files you will need to use one of the Export functions to make uncompressed WAV files, ...

Re: problem recording from cassettes
I am not clear what you are asking here. The length of any track/"song" exported from Audacity are dictated by the output filetype you choose e.g. uncompressed WAV (large) or compressed MP3 (smaller) and the length (in time dration) if the track/"song" Most media players should h...

Re: Audacity interface naming question.
Gale, as you know my vote is for Track Controls Panel (though I could be swayed to Stevethefiddle's suggestion gleaned from a bit of research with an inxperienced Audacity user of: "Track Conrols Box"). And my reasoning for that is: a) it's part of the track - a track is (for an audio trac...
