Re: Labels From Project Not Exporting to .wav File
Suggestion: Tips on how to transfer LPs to digital would be better if it were clear which files were involved in each step of a process: .aup or .wav or .mp3 etc. @russg: are you referring here to tips that are given in the forum threads - or the tutorials that are in the Audacity Wiki and the Manu...

Re: Labels From Project Not Exporting to .wav File
Ok I'm a little clearer on what you're trying to do now :) Note that the label track and the labels are part of the Audacity project and are NOT part of a WAV file (In general WAV files do not carry metadata). In Export Multiple the labels are used to create the name of each WAV file. I don’t' use A...

Re: Unable to Record
@David: have you studied the tutorial on using USB TTs frm my earlier post in this thread? My guess is that you have your Audacity set to single channel mono - when you should be in 2-channel stereo. Go to Edit >Preferences and select the Devices tab - and in the Recording section set it to 2 channe...

Re: Equalization
No sorry. Audacity doesn't do real-time effects (it is a very commonly requested feature request). So you will need to apply the effect and audition what you have just done. Note that if you are unhappy with the result you can just use Audacity's Undo function to reverse the previous processing. Ret...

Re: Reloading saved files for later work
Windows elf reporting for duty... Could it be the AudioGrabber? Yes it could, or it could be a bad USB connection - can you wiggle it (gently) in its socket - or use a different USB port. And you are not using a USB hub, right? Do I even need it to do this type of transfer? Maybe, maybe not. It depe...

Re: Reloading saved files for later work
No - I'm saying that if you hae the <project-name>.aip data file and it's associated folder with all the little .au files (and you have not moved/renamed/deleted any of it) then you should be able to open the *.aup files with Audacity. ============================================= I use Audacity for...

Re: Reloading saved files for later work
When you save an Audacity project as <project_name> it creates a number of things 1. a top level master project file called <project_name>.aup 2. a folder at the same filing level called <project_name>_data 3. and within the folder a sub-folder structure with lots of little .au files - segments of t...

I have transferred the main gist of the FR conversation from this thread to the Pending Feature Requests of the Wiki. I have retained the full thread here so as to retain access to Edgar's patch.

Re: USB or Stereo Jack?
Thanks Waxcylinder. Sorry I should of posted this in the 1.3 forum as that is the one I am using. I'll move it for you :) The pc I have to do this on does have a line in and already done a test with the ghetto-blaster but the quality was poor, mind you the originals weren't much better! By original...
