Re: Ion Tape Express with Audacity
The ION Tape Express is a USB device and therefore should work with Audacity. Until early 2010 ION used to ship Audacity with their USB record decks and tape decks - now they only ship the "EZ Converter" software. I used Audacity with an ION record deck that I had some years ago, it worked...

Re: Using Labels to move through very long recordings
... Tabbing to the next label is exactly what I was looking for so thanks for that. I still can't find where it says that in the docs ... You can see it in the 1.3 manual about a quarter of the way down the page in a section titled " Selecting a Label": http://manual.audacityteam.org/inde...

Re: Using Labels to move through very long recordings
Personally I prefer to deal with just one side of an LP or tape at a time. This gives a nice manageable working set that is easy to work with. Just as an experiment I recorded four sides of a double album and processed that as a whole, earlier this week - and I found even that 90 minute project a bi...

Re: export multiple
You can do this with Audacity - if you go to Edit > Preferences > Import/Export you will see a tiock box to enable the metadata editor. Personally I don't bother doing this in Audacity I find it easier to do it in Windows Explorer, or more usually in my target player application iTunes. Note that if...

Re: How do I record diff. takes on one track?
No, you can have 1.2 and 1.3 on your machine but you cannot run them both at the same time. And note that while you can open and edit 1.2 projects in 1.3 - you cannot open 1.3 projects in 1.2
