Re: DeNoise vs. Aud 1.3.12 Noise Removal

Keith, I totally agree with bgravato that you should be saving WAVs rather than auidacity projects. You could choose to save 32-bit WAVs as the best quiality - personally I save and backup 16-bit downsampled WAVs for my archive (I also plan to use them as audio files later if and when iPods get very...

Re: time shift increased amount of sound

Townsend devised Artificial Double Tracking or "ADT." According to historian Mark Lewisohn, it was Lennon who actually gave the process the name "flanging." Lennon asked Beatles producer George Martin to explain how ADT worked, and Martin answered with the nonsense explanation, &...

Re: Books on Tape

You should think about an MP3 player or iPod that you can plug into your car. 140 hours of books will make 100-140 CDs - and that's a lot of CDs to carry around in your car or store. You could easily get the whole lot on a reasonabl size portable player and then you would always have all the books w...

Re: Audacity Adds Hiss to exported WAV

I'd be very surprised if a pop/click problem at the end of a file has anything to do with dither, but do keep us informed. (did you write about the pop/click problem previously?) That was user MNicholls in this thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=50250 And there it turned...
