Or you can export the labels to a text file with File > Export > Export Labels

and then later import the single long WAV file and then import the labels with File > Import > Labels

2) use Ctrl+K to delete that selection
3)Observe: Audio shifts back to start at T=0

Yes, but vinyl rips gives better sound when correctly remastered. You can clearly see the difference between a remastered CD rip and the same music remastered from a vinyl rip. I used the ClickRepair app - it cost a little but produced excellent results - and saved me a lot of time doing the manual type repairs that you are doing.

They should be there on your Mac - they are not enabled in Audacity by default - you just need to enable them in the plug-in manager.
