Re: line in
Here is a website link for the kit: http://www.cassettetocdkit.com/ Naomi, from looking at that website for your kit I'm struggling to understand why you are mithering with a line-in. The connection graphic shows that you go from cassette => splitter => Audio Cable => Audio Captuer Box => USB lead =...

Re: easier way to edit multiple audio
The easiest way to do this is to use iTunes to do this. AFAIK iTunes doesn't actually change the soundfiles, instead it just applies varying amplification per song. In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Playback and check on the box that says Soundcheck You will need to re-synch your iPod for it to t...

Re: Hiding Metadata editor on export
Well it works fine for me in 1.3.12 and the latest Alpha nighly build of 1.3.13 - go to Edit > Preference > Import/Export and you should see a check-box titled "Show Metadata Editor prior to export step" - ensure that this is checked off. There was briefly an earlier 1.3.13 which did not h...

Re: From Amp to Laptop
Washburnt wrote in a PM ... I was just looking at the Behringer U-Control UCA202, which seems to be available in Australia. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/USB-Audio-Interface-Behringer-U-Control-UCA202-/200594216236?pt=AU_Pro_Audio&hash=item2eb458d52c Just a question or two. Why is there an input and ou...

Re: From Amp to Laptop
What it does is to take in an analog line level signal (from a TT/preamp or a tape deck or an FM tuner etc) and turn it into a digital signal, and then delivers that signal via a USB lead and plug. The input to the device is normally via a pair of RCA leads/plugs - some of them also allow for digita...

Re: Just wont record
I'd be more inlined to move some of the least frequently used (or even redundant) files to the F drive to free up some usable space on the C ddrive for use with Audacity. Or even dump some of those files onto an external USB disk. Apart from any other consideration - running with a very full C drive...

The other possibilty is that you are getting "wow" from your turntable - small variations in turntable speed. See this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wow_%28recording%29 and: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phonograph I used to have an ION iTT-USB turntable - and I junked pre...

Re: change in appearance, don't know how I did it
You have the envelope tool turned on - and I strongly suspect that you didn't mean to. You will get this view if you click on the Envelope Tool icon in the tools toolbar (the icon is two little white triangles pointing a small centred white dote with a blue line passing through) - or if you have cli...

... but doing 50 tracks at a time all day long really does get tedious. I can imagine ... :) I should have been clearer about the feature Requests - I meant that this FR is already in the Audacity Wiki Feature Requests page - see: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests (and search for &...
