Unlikely to be the brand of tape. For a start check all your connectios, leads and plugs - make sure there are clean and securely home. I don't remember how it worked in 1.2 but in 1.3.13, the latest Beta, when you invoke the silince finder there is a "Minimum Duration of Silence" parameter that you can set (default is 1 second) - does that do what you need? WC I think feelthebeat was talking about Sound Activated Recordi...

Only if you haven't closed the Audacity project in the meantime - very unlikely I know, But if f0r some reason that you have left that PC on and not closed the Audacity project then you should still have all the Undo history available and should be able to undo back to just before you x-ed the first...
