Re: Recording vinyl lp's at 45 to speed up copying process

... is this going to affect the quality at all? Most certainly it is - see this tutorial from the 1.3 manual and note the advice against doing this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Higher_speed_transfers Just sit back and enjoy the LPs/singles as they play. If you really want to save yourself so...

Re: Audacity wont open files saved in Audacity

In 1.2 recovery is a manual process (not for the faint-hearted) see: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/CrashRecovery It is now automated in 1.3 - and seems to work very well in the later Betas. WC Update: Ooops I note that you say you are using 1.3 - you confused me by posting in the 1.2 section of ...

Is this planned obsolescence or is it time to get 1:3 ? But yes indeed. 1...

Re: Audacity added empty sound at the beginning

It is the MP3 that is adding the extra bit of silence, not Audacity (that is why your WAV doesn't show thsi).

Re: Problems recording with UA 1G

I run my UA-1EX with Audacity set at 32-bit floating and it works fine with the UA-1EX set to 44.1kHz and either in its advanced or standard mode. My current understanding is that it is running in 16-bit in both those modes (down to the audio interface s/w used by Audacity, PortAudio: see this long ...

Re: Half way there...i think

I moved this to the 1.3 forum beacause as you are using Windows 7 then you really should be using the latest 1.3 version. I suspect that you are using the software supplied withn the ION and that is likely to be the now ancient and no longer supported 1.2.6 So for your first step, upgrade to 1.3 whi...

Re: Glitching randomly through recordings

For starters upgrade to the latest Beta 1.3.13 (the Beta line is now very mature and approaching Release Candidate status). It works better on most modern platforms than 1.2, which is now ancient and no longer supported. If you continue to get the probelms in 1.3 than we can help you trobleshoot the...
