Re: Hype Take-to-mp3 converter
What you need to do is to turn monitoring "on". Do this by clicking once in the input meter (the one with the Mic icon) - clickinh there again will turn monitoring off. There is a long-standing feature request to make monitoring either always-on, or more obvious as to where to find it alon...

Re: separately editing two songs open in the same project
I'm assuming that you have the two songs in the same project but on different tracks, right? 1) you could slide the second song along the timeline with the Time Shift tool -see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Tools_Toolbar 2) or you shoul;d be able just to selct audio from within one track by cl...

Re: Editing sound track
you just need to select that one second portion and the hit the delete key (helps if you are zoomed in a long way). This may give you a dis-joint at that postion - you can help to avoid that by searching for the zero crossings (Use Edit > Find Zero Crossings ) - and also use Effect > Repair to smoot...

Re: 1.3.12 Beta language choice in Interface
Just for those who do not appreciate this: there is no interface option in the preference tab of 1.3.13 There certainly is an Interface option in Preferences in my 1.3.13 installation and in my latest 1.3.14 Alpha installation :? IIRC Audacity chooses as its default language based on the locale of ...

Re: CleanSpeech - Change Presets? Gain? Leveller?
... but I did not see anything that I could change to help get the soft parts louder without affecting the parts that are already loud. You need to use a Compressor for this - there is a Compressor effect buitl in to Audacity: select the audio and use Effect > Compressor. There is a better compress...

Re: CleanSpeech - Change Presets? Gain? Leveller?
I think you have misunderstood what CleanSpeach is really for: it is not an effect to be applied to clean up speach recordings and make them clearere - rather it is a cut-down version of Audacity with a simpler interface, not giving access to many useful tools. If I were you I would turn off CleanSp...
