I use Audacity for most of my LP processing - but for the click removal I use Brian Davies' excellent ClickRepair - it costs a little at Aus$40 but is wull worth it IMHO especially if you jave a lot of LPs to process. I started Audacity, set the preferences so that the playback device is Realtek HD Audio output and the recording device is Realtek HD Audio I don't specifically know what kind of sound card is in the comp. The clue was in what you wrote earlier in the post - you have a "Realtek HD" soundc...

If you want to record it unattended and stop recording at the end of the LP you can always use the Timer Record functionality - available from the Tranpsort menu. This has the downside of potentially "playing" the null centre track untill you get back to it, and thus unnecessarily wearing ...
