Use the SSD for your active projects.

When you've finished production than you can export the finished audio to a USB drive (to save space on the SSD).

You can also backup your projects to USB, but you should copy them back to SSD for active work in Audacity.

It would be easier if we had a command in Audacity to Render MIDI tracks to audio - it's something that we thought about but have necer gotten around to doing

All the other non Apple apps that I have on my Big Sur Macbook Pro are alos non-compliant with Apple's new icon design format. Mac toolbar.png We are not obliged to slavishly follow Apple's format - especially not if it corrupts what we have on our Windows version of Audacity ;) :geek: Peter.

Since you're on Windows there is a workaround for you 1) Set your host to be WASAPI an select the input device as the loopback one - see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolbar.html 2) Import your MIDI track 3) Press Record 4) Press Stop when the MIDI track ends 5) File >Export ... I have a 32-bit vn of iZotope Vinyl :? This is interesting. Do you have a link to this version ? I got mine from the iZotope site - but it was a long time ago. And I note they have changed the GUI interface now - so possibly the new version is only 64-bit. See: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/v...
