Re: i export a file to an MP3-i see it-then i can't find it!

The desktop is one of the worst places to store data files, you really should be creating folders/subfolders to save your production audio in. The "Windows desktop" is like a physical desktop - it's not a filing cabinet - if you put too much stuff on the desktop you are likely to lose it. ...

Re: Backing up and Archiving

Peter, The equivalent to the "IBM User Guide" is essentially the "How to use Audacity" block on the front page (Steve's Book 2) and the "IBM TRM" is essentially equivalent to the "Reference" block on the front page (Steve's Book 1) BTW: I have carried the disc...

Re: Backing up and Archiving

Re: Improving editing and processing tools

You will be getting some increased keyboad shortcut functionality probably in 2.0.1 where the effects can be assigned to a user-selectable hot-key, slong with the Analyze and Generate menu items. Re: Backing up and Archiving

Ok chaps time to calm down a bit ... :) I agree that we need to avoid duplication in the documentation wherever possible. I agree that there is already an entry inthe Wiki - and I agree that is is pretty thin (almost as much use as a chocolate fireguard). This should not prevent us from providing a ...

Re: Using my back up

My inclination in such circumstances is to re-install the software , assuming you still have the original media - and copy the data back to your hard drive. Personally I would use Windows Explorer to make the copies explicity and not use drag&drop - for my money drag&drop is susceptible to l...

Re: Sound card crossfeed ???

It obviously did that with the very first 1.3.x I installed - but never since AFAICT

Re: How do you convert your recordings to MP3's?

I'm guessing that you have a dot (period) somewhere in your song name. If so remove it and try again.
