Re: Keyboard Shortcut - for inserting silence
You will shortly be able to do this - version 2.0.1 which is due out shortly contains an enhancement to the keyboard shortcut bindings to enable the user to set up shortcuts for any of the generators, effects or analyze tools. Yup if you get the ART Phono Plus that's all you should need.
It's an integrated device that combines the jobs of my ART pre-amp and my Edirol soundcard.

Re: Converting Stereo to Mono
I looked under the track menu at some point and did not see that ... as the manual points to the track control panel. Can you tell us which page (and section within this page) in the manual you were looking at - posting a link would be helpful. Then we can have a look at correcting it. Thanks, WC

Re: Cannot get any input to Audacity
I am personally not sure that a USB connection will give you the same hi-fi sound that you would get from a line-out/line-in jack set-up. In any case, it all depends on the quality of output you can expect from the USB unit. Will your Tape2USB2 unit give you as good a sound output as you would get ...

Re: Burned CD contains only half the track
This puzzles me - I use RecordNow (v6.5.3) all the time on my desktop running Windows XP-HE-SP3 and I never have a problem with it.
