Particularly in Win7, there are more and more computers that just don't have that service at all and you have to add software or hardware to get it to work. Koz Not always though. I just bought a new Toshiba laptop (Realtek soundcard onboard) running Windows 7 Home Premium - and with some fiddling ...

Often a fade shape similar to this will sound good, and can be easily created by applying the normal Audacity Fade-in effect, then repeating the effect a few times (Ctrl+R). The more often you apply the Fade In, the more "curved" the fade will be, staying quiet for a longer part of the fa...
