Re: Timeline editing.

2) Maybe be able to put keyframes were you want to edit. Audacity does not use "keyframes" (unlike video, the audio is not in "frames"), but it does have "labels": http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help/manual/man/label_tracks.html But surely you can set the time f...

Re: 32-bit floating point is really 24-bit?

Surely our 32-bit is actually 24-bit with an 8-bit mantissa - or am I wrong here?

Re: the tool bar tools

Question: shouldn't a person just be able to click on it again to make it go back into place. Just an idea. Trouble is there isn't really a "place" that the toolbars belong in -just a set of default positions that they start out in. The whole point is that you can drag them around and re-...

Re: I can't record from anything other than microphone

That's the one Vista and Win7 leave out. Koz Not always! My five year-old Vista laptop has Stereo Mix and so does my one year old Windows 7 desktop system. I've seen the accepted general wisdom found here on the forum that it is getting harder to find "Stereo Mix" but haven't yet encounte...

Surely between 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 we also added user-definable keyboard shortcuts for Effects (and the Analyze & Generate tools) - a most useful addition IMHO

Re: Professional sounding fade out.

UPDATE: today I have been using the Pro-Fade on some LP tracks I captured. All of these tracks were already faded by the engineers many moons ago (Elvis Presley LP). So this time I was using the Pro-Fade on shoter 1-2 second chunks to fade down to "silence" in the intersts of cleaning the ...

Re: LP Rip with Distortion at the end of side one

Hey O2P, I've just notice that Brain Davies has just released a new piece of software that may help you speed up your workflow. ClickRepairRT is a real time version of CR that enables you to process thge capture signal as it passes through. I've no idea how to route the output to Audacity - but it's...

Except that not all CD players will play CDRWs.
Yebbut, what Thor is suggesting is to trial the process with a CD-RW and then when you have it down right burn a CD-R :geek:
