Re: DC offset tool

Steve - are you planning to punt this as a potential replacement for the existing Audacity Normalize effect's DC removal option?

Re: DC offset tool

On a related note, I see that the soundcard software on my latest Tosh laptop has a DCoffset removal feature in the Recording>Stereo Mix>Enhancements tab (default set to on) useful eh ... Yes, useful. That seems to be quite a common feature on modern Windows machines, so we should perhaps encourage...

An insignificant amount of DC offset may become significant after normalizing, so ...

Re: Continuity digitizing audio tapes

... I have decided to buy a device for digitizing tapes ... Most of the "devices" for digitizing tapes are cheap throw-away pieces of kit - if you have access to a decent tape deck than you will probably be better off using that. If your PC has a line-input and not just a mic input (deskt...

Re: Professional sounding fade out.

I think I'm liking 26c BUT I don't like entering two separate numbers in a single input box (far too wacky for my UI taste) as in the "Low and High" values And I think I'm with Steve in not wanting per-cent. Newbies are exposed to dB scale from the off as that is the default (and sensible ...
