Re: Adjustable Fade
My proposal here is that we should go with one of the later (probably the latest) versions of Steve's adjustable fade - and release it. 1) It is much better than anything we have currently. 2) My perception is that Steve has probably reached the limits what is possible in a Nyquist plug-in. 3) If we...

Re: Enabling Computer Playback Input, Windows 7
My understanding is that it is basically down to the device driver for the soundcard. You may want to try updating the driver - or even regressing to an earlier version.

Re: Finding Project Data Folder and aup file
Wouldn't it be almost as quick to re-record?
And if it were me I'd probably buy the CD - Amazon UK sells it for a mere UK£5, or the MP3 downloads at £3.99

Re: DC offset tool
How should we refer to a "non-constant DC offset" and distinguish it from a "constant DC component"? For want of a better word I suggested "bias". Any better ideas? Well that would depend on just what we are trying to remove/correct for the user. Is that the constant o...

Re: DC offset tool
From looking at this new effect I am failing to understand why I might want to add DC offset :? "You" probably never would. Haha ... Ah, but I've just found a a use - I needed to add some DC with the " DC offset..." so that I could test the " DC bias removal..." ...

Re: Enabling Computer Playback Input, Windows 7
Manufacturers ar making this harder to do. Some W7 PCs will record straming audio and some won't. From your screenshots its looks like you are one of the unlucky ones and can't do this. This was so on my wife's laptop so she bought TotalRecorder ( see http://www.highcriteria.com/ ) - she uses this f...

Re: Finding Project Data Folder and aup file
You need to move the files back to their original locations. For future reference you should save the project to a named loation in a folder of your choice. See this page on Project Files in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_projects.html Actually when I transcribe tapes and ...

Re: I need help with editing basics
I want to be able to make marks, or mark and area when we say end a song, and then start a song, and then cut out that area between them. You need to add labels - see this page in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/label_tracks.html I'm also interested in tracking out the recording Se...
