Check that the pinch roller in the cassette player is clean (kits are available for cleaning these, though a little alcohol on a cotton bud will often do the trick, but take care not to get alcohol onto plastic case parts as the plastic could melt.) You don't really want alcohol on the rubber pinch...

If you want to just use WMP (and not iTunes) then you will probably have to export MP3s from Audacity for use there - unless you have massive storage space and want to use uncompressed WAVs.

I thought wet-playing of LPs went seriously out of fashion years ago. I tried it back then and found it made things worse and my stylus got crudded up - and they say that once played wet it should always then be played wet. You will need to speak to DB-Tech about that - we only make the free software that DB-Tech (and may others) bundle with their hardware. Or you can search the internet for drivers for that device ( but be careful where you visit - there are some dangerous websites out there). I am somewhat surprised ...
