Re: Poorly written looping wiki - need help looping
@Gale & Steve: Is there a good reason why "Looping" is in the Wiki and not in the Manual?
Should we consider moving it to the manual as a tutorial?
Peter.
P.S. the recent updates you both made to the Wiki page are definitely an improvement.

This is the import page in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/importing_audio.html I am assuming that you have AAC/MP$ files as you are using iTunes (that is the default set by Apple) - if so you will also need to download the FFmpeg library - see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/...

Re: Mom needs a CD and she's a Newbie, woo hoo
Start with this page from the Wiki rather than the manual) it should show you how to get the songs into Audacity: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/How_to_import_files_from_iTunes Once you get them in you can edit out the bits you don't want (select the bits you don't want by clicking and dragging w...

Re: creative soundblaster card problem
The tape deck uses stereo cables from the tape deck and a USB cable to go into a USB port on the PC. The unit appears to be working-at least the lights blink and turn green when it functions. I moved the cable to another USB port-same result. A "USB cable" implies that somewhere embedded ...

Re: Recording 2 things at once/muting channels
I've grabbed a bit from a play called "Soemone to Watch Over Me"... A great play Dave - my favourite quote is the line from the Irishman (Stephen Rea in the original London production): "I can sum up this situation in just two words: ridiculous <small dramatic pause> ridiculous."...
