Re: Align tracks end to end

Perhaps a further option to perform an automated Mix and Render so that the user ends up with a single track would be useful too?

Audacity's Click Removal would do a good job if ... Yes, but Trebor's example just shows how truly excellent Brian's ClickRepair software is 8-) That's no good reason not to improve our click removal though, or make Repair work on decent sized selections. +1 for both of those from me :geek:

Heh heh... wish there was a "Smiley" for "egg on my face..." I had the volume knob turned down on the phonograph. Thus, the headphone line didn't have enough to send out to the laptop... We *like* folk who are brave enough to fess up publicly to their mistakes - for a start it m...

Ctrl+M (think of "Marker" as another name for "Label") works during record.
And during playback - also v. useful when reviewing what you have already recorded 8-)

Re: Flat Line with Terratec DMX 6fire USB - pls help!

I thought that Audacity could only work with 16-bit devices On Windows operating systems. (The 2.0.4 version of Audacity will support WASAPI as the host system which I think does support 24 bit) I believe that to be the case - but reports indicate that WASAPI in Audacity can be a bit flaky :( WC

Re: Display true waveform instead of connecting the dots

Christian, I used to do my repairs manually, originally with the Draw tool in Audacity and then with the Repair effect when that become available - but I found that was taking far too much time and was extremely tedious. I find Brian's default settings a little too harsh - after much experimentation...

Brian has the advantage of writing a piece of highly focussed software to tackle one particular task only :geek:

Re: Flat Line with Terratec DMX 6fire USB - pls help!

And is the underlying problem here that the Terratec DMX 6fire USB device is a 24-bit device - I thought that Audacity could only work with 16-bit devices unless you built your own Audacity with ASIO support :? Certainly my Edirol-UA-1EX USB soundcard will only work in 16-bit mode and not 24-bit (th...
