The best tool I've found (following a steer from Koz) is Brain Davies' excellent ClickRepair http://www.clickrepair.net/
and see this sticky thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1994
It costs a little - but you do get a 14-day free trial.

Re: Creating a Non-stop Audio CD.
Yes, you can do this with Audacity. You will need to import the songs and crossfade from one to the next using the Fade effects - see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fades.html#crossfade Then you have to decide do you just want one long track on the CD or do you need to be able to skip to indi...

Or use the repair effect - see this page in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/repair.html

Re: Editing music - End and Begining
If you followed the likes in the zoom section on the page that Steve pointed you at then you should have come to this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/keyboard_shortcut_reference.html#view You can't turn zooming on or off - zooming is just the current level of magnification you are currently vi...

Re: change to audacity2.x
you can move a label by clicking in the little white circle and dragging it along - BUT be careful not to click on the little white angle things either side, as dragging on them will enlarge the label turning it from a point label to a range label.

Re: The excellent choice Between: sample formats & Sample Ra
... Portaudio and the sound system should be able to come to an amicable arrangement so that 16 bit audio is accepted from the USB and padded to 32 bit float in Audacity. Yup, that's exactly how Audacity handles the 16-bit data coming in from my Edirol UA-1EX soundcard - and handles it well :) WC

Re: Need mark in TimeLine when recording
As Gale says. And that's another reason why I'm currently working (with Gale's able editorial help) on a rewrite of the page/section of the manual that I pointed you at. It's still only work in progress but you may wish to have a look at the new page: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Label_Tracks ...
