Re: streaming audio

Start off with a read of this tutorial from the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... puter.html

If you still can't get it to work (and if so please post back) there is a more advanced method in the latest 2.0.4 Audacity that may help.

Re: Sound Card Reviews

I see from here that my Edirol UA-1EX which I've used for years has been superseded by the Roland Duo Capture. I mainly use my device to record radio programmes. I do like good quality sound. Is it worth my spending £60 or so to update. Would you recommend? I suspect not 8-) My suspicion is that th...

Re: Append Import

A feature request has been made for Append Import - a way to mark the joins between the imported files. It was suggested to insert silence at the joins but you could also label the joins or add split lines there (or perhaps only the C++ version could do that)... Gale I would much prefer to label th...

Re: Sound problems (clipping?) when recording

What was supposed to happen is for you to connect the USB cable to your computer and nothing else. Re: Import Label Text

is this a feature you are thinking of adding?

Or a proposal you are thinking of writing?

I doesn't really look like something I can just transfer over usefully to Wiki>PFR

I can archive it here 0 or move it to say Audio Processing??

Peter.

Re: cutting and pasting between files and fades....

And you may find the Studio Fade Out gives you a more "musical" fade:

See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... io_fadeout

That whole page is worth a read for you.

Re: stereo mix problems

The upcoming 2.0.4 release will contain a new feature to enable you to uses WASAPI as your host in Audacity (Rather than MME or WDS) and use WASAPI loopback in software - I just tested this on the Release Candidate version and it worked well on my W7 laptop. You can try the Release Candidate if you ...
