@Steve: I think this is a good suggestion - why don't you create a Bugzilla "enhancement" entry for this - rather than let it languish on Wiki>PFR.

You need to find a small sample of the LP - probably a bit of "silence" between songs to provide the first step of Noise Removal - and then select the whole recording and the apply the second pass of Noise Removal. See this page in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/noise_rem...
