So this begs a question. If I record an album at 96kHz and the same album at 44kHz and I save them both as FLAC, the 96kHz at 24bit FLAC and the 44kHz @ 16bit FLAC. If I record an album at 96 kHz, I am ensuring that I have all the information I can possibly have within the recording itself. Audacity breaks an audio project into all those little samples to facilitate speed of processing - the .au files are managed by a similarly-named .aup file

BTW 2.0.3 is now superseded - that latest version is 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 should be out sometime in the new year hopefully
