You can either compress it by Exporting as an MP3 (you will need to also install LAME to do this - see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame But it may be easier to use DropBox, SendSpace or similar where you can upload larger files like this for your friends ...
