Re: Playing sound in never ending loop

See this page on Looping in the Audacity Wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Looping

This page is moving to become a tutorial in the 2.0.6 Manual

Re: Vinyl conversion using Audacity

For click removal when I transcribed my LPs I ended up using an app called ClickRepair (it costs a little but for me it was well worth it as it produced excellent results - the author grants you a 14-day free trial) - see this sticky thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=199...

Re: Vinyl conversion using Audacity

I have a device which plays the discs and converts the sound to MP3, and then use Audacity to finalize the files... Can we go back to basics here - can you tell us the make and model of the device you have. It may well be possible to use Audacity to make the recording in high quality as well as usi...

Re: Add a tab to the instruction book

Perhaps a "more slick" alternative would be a link for "Latest Version", or "Update Audacity". A link for the latest version is in the Sidebar in the Manual already. It is in the 2.0.5 Manual - but in the Alpha 2.0.6 there is no "Useful External Links" nav pa...

Re: Add a tab to the instruction book

You would be surprised how many still use 1.2 e.g. the people who like to see microseconds in the selection values. You'd be surprised that I actually wouldn't be surprised ... ;) All I'm surprised at is that we are featuring legacy, obsolete, 1.2 on our bleeding-edge alpha Manual  And surely...

Re: Add a tab to the instruction book

I tried to remove one of your unslicks yesterday by adding a clear link for Audacity downloading to the Manual's Front page. Is that now a slick? I think it's unslick. The software download is not a help resource. If we want a download link in the body it should be a small link in the green div abo...

Re: Add a tab to the instruction book

An aside here - I'm pondering why on earth we promote obsolete unsupported 1.2 on the front page of the alpha Manual :o  :?:

"Click here for legacy 1.2 documentation. " it says in the light green box :!:

Re: NoiseRemoval.cpp

The truly minimal change would leave a mismatch between names in the code and names in the dialog. Programmers might live with that. Ah, but would it break saved Chain files and preferences? That might make some users a little unhappy during migration. A very good point Paul - a regression with Sav...

Re: Add a tab to the instruction book

But I do want real external links. User supplied software, experimental stuff, "floobydust" I think one company called it. If that makes you nervous, then links to places where you can look up user-supplied, experimental, etc. If that's a monumental task, then that's the real task. Garden...
