Re: reset Preferences CFG file
So I don't understand why you say that resetting Preferences would not reset the toolbars. Because if you read the Proposal one if the original (and still existing ideas) is to implement Preferences reset through Edit>Preferences with each pane having a Reset button (which could wither reset the Pr...

Re: reset Preferences CFG file
I think the Load/Save should be kept out of the proposal for now, which is complex enough when you get down to the details. +1 I would feel it much cleaner to force restart of Audacity if you Reset Preferences within Audacity. I don't see why that would be necessary - except that if you did a full ...

Re: reset Preferences CFG file
... "I reinstalled Audacity but the problem continued." People already know how to reset Audacity. Some do some don't, I usually forget where the .cfg file is stored and have to go back to the Manual to look up the procedure. But the big problem I found when user my "documentation us...

Re: NoiseRemoval.cpp
... I have not used Audacity Noise Removal since I first found it unusable in 1.2.6 and I have found it unusable ever since (in different ways). ;) By "unusable", I mean I don't want to spend inordinate time tinkering with its settings when I can get a better result in Goldwave with one c...

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
+1 for Album Track Marker
It worked well when I pre-alpha tested it for Steve
And Silence Marker would be useful for me too (I would use it to find a good "noise" sample in webcasts and FM broadcasts for Noise Removal)
Peter.

Re: "Show Clipping" Options
The way it is right now you can have the meters more or less the same way they are right now in 2.0.6 Select the RMS "style" from each Meter's options dialog (and AFAIK that option is likely to stay) Undock 'em and drag down to resize 'em to full height meters and redock 'em. "Job don...

Maybe it would sit well in "Help with Advanced Topics"
But I'll find some time next week first to work up the page as an orphan, then we can decide its place in the firmament

Re: Issue when changing tempo of a selection twice
I don't understand what "enlarging the meters makes setting the levels much easier" means. With the default size meters that you have in your screenshot they are so narrow that it is hard to see when you are at the optimal -6 dB level. Making them wider increases the accuracy that can be ...
