Re: Audio units in Chains
I wonder does anyone know of a 10 band graphic eq plugin for audacity with savable settings similar to the Apple AU Graphic EQ ? Audacity has a 31-band graphic equializer in the shipped effects - go to Effect>Equalization and click the Graphic EQ radio button. The use the Save/Manage Curves button ...

Re: Recordings at 192 kHz very faulty
@Gale: this couldn't possibly have anything to do with the mis-behavior that You and Bill get on Macs with the experimental scrubbing, could it

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
If we do implement the play speed slider are we planning to make it dynamic - I.e the speed can be changed while playing not just before playing?
It would be very nice if we could achieve this
Unlike, of course, the current behaviour in Transcription Toolbar.

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
On scrub playback, the slider would change the speed of scrub play (along with whatever mechanism, such as mouse wheel control, that Paul decides to add). You mean, the play speed slider would control the initial speed of scrub play, as now? When Paul implements his proposed UI for scrubbing which ...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
And we would still have the issue that you could knock the speed slider accidentally during 1x playback, if I'm understanding you correctly - unless we were to provide a lock control on the speed slider (that could be useful to lock any speed, not just 1x). I'm liking the idea of a lock control for...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
A) If you want a continuous recording, you can't have a selection (because drawing a selection automatically produces a play region). I'm not keen on this because it would be too easy, especially for those familiar with previous versions) to forget, and thereby have their recording stopped prematur...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
What I'm trying to do is to tease apart the transport system so that it can be put back together with a unified and consistent underlying scheme ... Precisely how we expose the features through the GUI is another question, but I don't want to get tied up in arguing about the final menu names before...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
One advantage of a separate Play button for Transcription Toolbar is the ease of switching between standard 1x and an already determined "transcription speed". In Steve's mockup: http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=12520 I could envisage the black "1.0" being a se...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=12520 and then claims to have "accidentally nudged the slider", then I really don't have much sympathy. It's pretty darned obvious that there is an additional slider in the toolbar. My issue with this is that the speed slider is very clos...

Re: noise at tape recording
It's probably worth cleaning the heads and the transport mechanism - see this Audacity Wiki page: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recor ... m_Cassette
