Re: Unable to reduce input level from USB TT

I don't know the Numark, but from what I've seen on other USB turntables, it could be there is a gain setting, only the implementation of it is not standard. The ION iTT-USB that I had from Numark did indeed have a gain control - but in a most unusual and un-ergonomic location. It was little knurle...

Re: Loop clik in Android Mobile

We're hoping to move into new functionality freeze soon with a month then to mop up bugs - so the earliest we are looking at is the end of June.

Re: F.A.Q. forthcoming? :)

I thought Koz was working on preparing the draft of a masterwork on recording/processing to meet ACX requirements that we could place in the Manual as a new Tutorial.

Re: "Reverse Karaoke"/How To Remove Music, Keep Vocals?

With luck and a following wind we might see a new effect in the next release of Audacity called "Vocal Reduction and Isolation" - you can guess what the second part of that tries to do ;)

Re: Layout: Half-height meters

I call these "half-height" meters, for reasons which I hope are obvious. That's what we on Audacity "officially" call them too (or rather that's what Steve called them when he first asked for them as space-savers) ;) 8-) Glad you got it sorted with the help of the Manual. Top ti...

Re: Need help with repeating a riff

Have a read of this Tutorial from the Audacity Manual on Looping: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... oping.html

In the next release of Audacity due out quite soon there are some big improvements to the Timeline functionality which should make the looping process a bit easier.

Re: Set of basic effects

I think it is a principle - naive users should not by default have to go through a very confusing dialogue to enable effects that we ship in the first place. How many posts do you imagine we are going to see: LOTS and I'm not looking forward to that  :o :( I'm minded to think that rather than...

Re: Set of basic effects

Well for me now personally Studio Fade Out is an essential part of the toolkit.

And I find Truncate Silence a very useful tool - excellent for stitching brief gaps in transmission of a web-feed when the feed drops for brief periods

Re: Change of terms between versions.

Many of the TT manufacturers ship old, sometimes very old, versions of Audacity and their documentation of Audacity is similarly out of date (and sometimes actually wrong as was the case with the USB TT that I originally bought). so, first make sure you have the latest version of Audacity - you can ...
