Re: Unable to reduce input level from USB TT
There is an interesting alternative to the UCA202: The ART USB phono preamp. It's out of production, but maybe someone on Amazon still has some stock available? It's also pricier than the Behringer. Soundwise, it's the same quality but it is a little sturdier and more flexible. Also worth a look at...

Re: can's save, can't export
Try pressing te Stop button rather than the Pause button - many commands are grayed-out and inoperable when you are in Pause mode.

Re: "Reverse Karaoke"/How To Remove Music, Keep Vocals?
Peter, I'd be grateful if you could work with me on the documentation. I've imported the current "Vocal Remover" page and made some alterations to it. We'll need probably some additional tutorials, examples, case studies or however they should be named. Robert I'll be happy to do that. Ha...

Re: Rapid Comparison Switching
I've always found this awkward - I want an instant switch comparison, never managed to achieve it as I fumble around with the existing TCP buttons Set the "solo focused track" shortcut to something convenient (eg "Numpad 5") Set Preferences > Tracks => Solo button: Simple. Set P...

Re: Rapid Comparison Switching
So that would be no, then. Simple allows me to one-button switch between the single goal track and both. It also allows me to switch between the tracks: This SOLO button and That SOLO button and This SOLO button and That. Two buttons. +1 I've always found this awkward - I want an instant switch com...

Re: "Reverse Karaoke"/How To Remove Music, Keep Vocals?
Frank, some feedback after you have played with it - in particular what settings you find most useful and effective - would be most helpful. I've been playing with it in the name of testing for Robert (usually as I record new stuff). So far I seem to have more success with the vocal removal than the...

Re: Glitchy Effects Plugins
Also if you use 2.1.0, Vynil should have a "Manage" button in Audacity. Click "Manage", then "Factory Presets", then "Defaults". Then you can see if the issue occurs at default settings. I thought we only get the "Manage" button in the upcoming 2.1....

Re: Digitising classical LPs
The Numark USB TTs tend to have very light platters - The ION I bought had good electronics but the platter was so flimsy and light that I got very noticeable wow&flutter - so I junked it and in its stead I resurrected my trusty old Technics TT with its SME 3009 arm and gave it a good home servi...
