Re: No loop playback button?
What we're trying to do is to avoid over-bloating the Transport Toolbar. You can loop play (not from the cursor) but by making a selection and the invoking loop play - the selection will then be looped. Re: How To insert (paste) a clip at a specified moment?
Ideally something should be done however the Manual says in numerous places that you cannot edit while paused. Actually imo - it would be much better if the user tried to use an edit command while paused then the edit should still take place. A LOT of people fall into that bear trap (including me s...

Re: Vinyl transfer normalize track by track or as a whole?
My next question is should I be applying amp/norm to the entire project (all album tracks at once) or to each individual track...? My inclination would be to apply to the whole album - and thus retain the relative levels that the recording engineers thought appropriate for the recording but as me o...

Re: Channel Volumes
You could try the Normalize effect with the "Normalize stereo channels independently" checked to "on". See this page in the Manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/normalize.html But be sure to do any necessary click removal first - as the clicks are normally high amplitude ...

I don't think Rumpole ever married - perhaps the sister explains why... Ah, but he did "In the television series, where Rumpole first appeared, there is some consistency with regard to Rumpole's backstory. The original play is set in 1974, and Rumpole states that he is 64 years old, suggesting...

Re: A command which is gone in Audacity 2.1.1
... I've just discovered that there are some new commands in Audacity 2.1.1 that are very, very useful: Play after selection end (Shift+f8): usefully for scroll playback. Play after selection start (Shift+f6) It's also useful for scroll playback. Play before selection end (Shift+f7): It's very usef...

Which host are you using in Audacity?
I would recommend trying WASAPI with the loopback input selected - that's what I use to capture internet webcasts, getting good results.
See this page in the Manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/de ... .html#host
