Re: Zoom view snap-back feature.

OK - this morning I added a user-preset button to my proposal in the Wiki - and I added a vote from MichloIW the initiator of this thread (in the Feature Request page - and in the proposal).

Re: convert talks CDs to audio downloads

You can do most of this with Audacity (but not the artwork image) but there are probably easier tools you could use. Personally I would use iTunes, set it to rip to MP3 at the required rate,. Rip the CD, adjust metadata, add artwork. This should create a set of MP3 files in a folder defined by artis...

Re: Zoom view snap-back feature.

What I think I'd really like is a user settable zoom level button where I could say be at my favoured zoom level at that time (normally my working zoom level is with 3 to minutes of audio on the screen) then press right click to store that zoom level with the button. Then subsequent left clicks of ...

Re: No loop playback button?

For those that like buttons, it could be good if more (all?) the toolbars were customizable. See this page in the Manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/device_toolbar.html#playback See this FAQ: http://manual.audaci...

Re: Zoom view snap-back feature.

Something I would find extremely useful for speeding up the editing process (and thus, hopefully others would) is the ability to snap back to the view setting we had after we "fit selection" or "fit project" or even, if possible, before we start zooming in. +1 to that How exactl...

Workaround if you are using region labels (as the text of your post implies): select the labelled region by clicking in the label and then press Play
