Re: Edit Commands Disabled
You are almost certainly in Pause mode rather than Stop mode. Press the Stop button and then try the editing.

No I think you're right there Kozkozikowski wrote:Someone will correct me ...Koz
Also note that if you make a delayed Timer Recording if you save the empty project before you start setting up the Timer Record than at the scheduled end of the recording Audacity will automatically save the project for you.

Re: Trim Silence
Steve asked me to test this to see if I could break it - I can't (testing on W7-HP 64-bit audacity-win-r96d2e66-2.1.2-alpha-10-oct-15) It seems very straightforward and understandable - tested 1) with no silence at either end 2) shorter silences than the required trim 3) longer silences than the req...

Re: Problem importing key bindings to 2.1.0 or 2.1.1
You might find it easier to see the yellow/orange Recent Peak if you widened out the recording meter. I have my meters set up so they span the whole width of the window, but with the recording meter taking up 4/5 of the space leaving 1/5 for the playback meter. With this setup I have no problem obse...

Re: Are there any good YouTube videos on Audacity?
This guy is probably the best I've seen on Youtube regarding Audacity use: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI2eVYoI4UdX9YHfXXzvldQ and these ones are mostly fairly recent. You may, or may not, like his style - but he certainly injects some pizzazz and enthusiasm WC I've just added a bookmark for hi...

Re: Are there any good YouTube videos on Audacity?
I'm with Koz here I just spent half an hour combing YouTube to see if I could find a decent one - most of them are well over a year old and many much more than that. So as Koz says they are well out of date regarding the User Interface and the features and functionality available. What you will note...

Re: How to match bit rate of original file for game?
No that's just a spin-off - the rationale is to make a 32-bit WAV export of a raw capture before any processing as the ultimate backup. It's what we recommend doing in the workflows.Gale Andrews wrote:I assume the rationale for 32-bit float WAV is for export to Click Repair or to other DAW's for processing?
