Re: Problem with vocals doing vinyl to CD conversion
WC - Thanks for trying it out. I did forget to mention that via Audacity the recorded file does play well through the speakers on my computer. However, when I ... play a CD burned from the file through my stereo it sounds absolutely terrible. So in Audacity it sounds good, right? And in burning a C...

Re: How does one reposition the cursor w/o changing anything
I want to stop the cursor and have it remain where it is ... The shortcut Shift+A will stop playback (or recording) and place the cursor at that point (a bit like how tape decks work) Personally I find the compound gesture awkward so I changed the shortcut to KEYPAD_INS (I just have to remember to ...

Re: Why does the Zero point appear outside the window?
When you press Stop the playhead cursor returns to the cursor position from where playing started. So if play started at T=0 then indeed the playhead will return to the beginning. If T=0 is where you want to be after zooming just click on the Skip to start button in the Transport Toolbar, or press t...

Re: playback while recording
Because its actually in the Bearbiten menu, at the bottom.
I think that long ago it used to be in the Datei menu.
Can you post a link to the translated German page in the Manual so I can try to take a look at correcting that?
Danke,
WC

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position
BTW have you noticed what gets displayed if you are recording and then from normal default zoom level zoom in 9 or 10 times - you just get a centred black line. Press Stop and then the much zoomed in waveform displays. However if you are Playing and make a similar zoom then the waveform is displayed...

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position
Returning to the original topic. do we agree that the "Zoom Normal" command should zoom to the default "zoom level" not scroll back to the start. If so, should this be logged as an enhancement on bugzilla? Basically yes - but I've lost track of the discussions in this thread - t...
