Re: My feedback on Windows 10 and Audacity

In contrast, I let my Toshiba Satellite laptop PC migrate from W7 to W10 back in September - and it all runs sweetly. The only compromise taht I had to make was to switch my external USB soundcard (Edirol UA-1EX) from its advanced mode with Edirol drivers to its standard mode with Microsoft's USB dr...

OK but that may never happen. There may be more chance that what you voted on will happen.
I know that - I'm not entirely daft Gale ;)

I'll add my vote to those two

Re: Recent file Menu enhancement

Going back to Robert's original proposal The File menu has "Recent Files", which is almost standard in most applications (sometimes, the files are just listed at the end of the menu). I've two proposals to make: 1. The current behaviour, i.e. the order of the recent files seems a bit quirk...

Re: Workflow on mixing tracks

Is there a Feature Request or a nascent Proposal here? Or even any developments?

Or do I just archive this?

Peter.

Re: Spectral selection labels

That's probably because nobody knew about it. I don't recall the developer ever mentioning it. So I've discovered an undocumented feature? Perhaps I'd better not start using it until it's official. It also does other weird -sh*t things with selects as you hop about in spectral and back and forth to...

Re: Move some export preferences into export interface

Ever since I started out with Audacity many moons ago for LP and tape conversion the labels I have always assigned in Audacity take the form: <track no.> <song name> - < artiste> I always have Audacity Metadata switched off and manage the metadata in iTunes after the import of the WAV file(s) import...

Re: Lost the _data folder - How do I rebuild?

The Monty Python version of that would have you start the project movement paperwork and submit it to the Ministry of Project Movements. I actually was thinking of submitting the "paperwork", well e-paperwork, in the form of a Bugzilla enhancement request and maybe a Proposal - but then t...

Or the Three Sisters longing to espace "Will we vere get to Moscow ..." :D

But while we are waiting we could add a simple Move Project and Delete Project methinks 8-) :geek:

Re: Lost the _data folder - How do I rebuild?

To save this problem in future, never do copying and moving by hand. Simply open the project, File > Save Project As... and save as a new name, or the same name in another folder. If you were only doing a move, delete the original AUP file and _data folder. Maybe we could do with an additional entr...
