I would like to go to other websites, but I don't think that would be possible. It's perfectly possible I do it all the time. That is also a design feature that is valued by many users - so once again this is extremely unlikely to be removed or hidden.

No - that was added deliberately to make monitoring "discoverable".

May I suggest that in the next version in this excellent program simply disable the Metadata pop-up when using "export multiple". That's unlikely to happen. I always think it would be better if, by default, the Metadata editor was turned off. It's easy enough to turn it on again in Prefer...
