This begs the question: why do you have two mono tracks that both look exactly the same ? Are they the same ?

This was a known bug which we have fixed for the upcoming 3.0.0 release - I tested again just now with the latest 3.0.0 alpha test build that I have and I can successfully paste into the "Save As" filename field.

And I can't do this in 2.4.2

Quick note. Instead of Saving every few minutes, it might be Save As a different name.

And in the upcoming 3.0.0 release we've made it easier and more obvious by adding a Backup Project command.
