Re: Audacity buttons mess up.

Actually this is a problem that we have seen before - but it is a "moonphase" problem I.e. it occurs only very infrequently and so far we have been unable to pin down precise steps for reproducing this (which makes it almost impossibly hard to debug). It's happened to me about 20 times or ...

Re: Make selection edges more visible

What I would do (and do sometimes do) to achieve this with current Audacity: 1) Move cursor to accurate start position (you will have the black line on the waveform to guide you), 2) Mark that position with a tempoarary label - use the shortrcut Ctrl+B (Cmd+B on Mac). 3) Move cursor to accurate end ...

Re: Track view has changed

Another place to be wary of clickin in is the Vertical scale: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audi ... html#scale

When you hover the cursor over the Vertical Scale it changes to a magnifying glass - left-clicking there zooms in vertically on the waveform, right-clicking there zooms out.

Re: Track view has changed

You've accidentally clicked on either the Envelope Tool (or the Multi-Tool) - just click on the Selection Tool (or use shortcut F1)

see this page in the Manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tools_toolbar.html
