Re: Low level noise upon recording
You should be able to run your Revox through the ARTcessories device as I think you can by-pass the phon-pre-amp stage (but you may wish to check the specs). Oh yes, now from looking at the enlarged image of the front panel the ARTcessories gadget has a button labelled "INPUT" which will ...

I would have thought that (given its price-point) Teac 300n would be suitable for your needs - it gets good reviews on the Richer Sounds website: http://www.richersounds.com/product/turntables/teac/tn300/teac-tn300-blk But let me as you a question - you obviously at one time had a decent record deck...

Re: Export audio.
I don't see why - that's the same shortcut that we have in 2.1.3 - in fact it's been that shortcut since it was first introduced in Audacity 2.0.5 a long while ago.юра00 wrote:Ctrl+Shift+E? Apparently, we'll have to retrain.

Re: Export audio.
You won't need two clicks, just hover over the "Export Other" and the sub-menu will appear - and just the one click in there is required, The whole point of the menu restructuring has been to shorten our menus many of which over the years have become overly-long and cumbersome. Hence the s...

And this is what it might look like (still under iscussion and possible revision - but I'm pretty sure the direct MP3 export will stay.

Re: Export audio.
Funny you should ask this right now ...
We're currently working on a major rework of the menu structure - and right now it's looking like an "Export as MP3" will be one of the additions

Re: Best way to install 2.1.3
In which case I'd install it to a separate folder - as a QA tester I have many many folders with Audacity versions (going all the way back to 0.8 and 0.98b).
All work fine - but only one instance can be run at a time - so only one version at a time.

... actually the scrubber was driving me nuts because I like to hit the quick play on the top there and 213 has the scrubber there with the quick play but I figured how to take the scrubber off - I'm glad that option was available (to un-tick it)! Hi BDB, I'm totally with you on that - I use the Ti...
