You're right Daddy-o Audacity does not handle metadata very well, it couuld do with a big overjal (but we are very short of developers on this Open_Source project). Searching for "metadata" on or Bubzilla bug tracker fives all these logged issues https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/buglist.cgi?quickse...

There's also the issue that even modest sized projects can easily exceed 4 GB, which is an issue now that the project is a single file. Thanks! The smaller one was meant to be labelled as Windows Zip. It is now.

The main reason for the Zip being smaller is that it doesn't contain the Manual.
