Re: Labels lose snap
Because of the impact, I would kindly request that the importance be revisited. At the moment, the rationale for its low priority is that "old hands" have learned to live with it. I raised this with our lead developer - his pithy response was Yep. Labels shouldn't move when saved and restored. Acc...

Re: Labels lose snap
I note that if I repeat this test use-case 1) set time format to seconds 2) set label at 30 seconds 3) then the snap-to persists when I close and reopen the project $) Exported label shows as >30.000000 30.000000 thirty So it looks me me this may well be down to that granularity at which we are stor...

Re: Labels lose snap
I think I see what Corvinus means. With Snap-to = nearest an hh:mm:ss+samples as time format 1) get at least one min audio 2) create a point label at 00:00:30+00001 3) move cursor around close to label (either in audio track or label track) 4) Observe: yellow snap guide 5) left click mouse to set cu...

Re: Default entry setting in Amplify
I've just tested Amplify on RC04 on W10 and I get exactly the same with 3.0.0 RC04 as I do with 2.4.2 In both cases the default setting is: a) New Peak Amplitude = 0 b) Amplification = whatever Audacity calculates to take the signal peak to 0dB BTW please note that we are now on the fourth Release C...

Re: Medical condition, make audio wave smoother, remove zick zacks
Thanks you for that Trebor, now every time I talk normal.loud and stop - I then hear that bloomin ' click ;) :? From my perspective, mine goes whoomph when it releases, rather than click, but something is wrong if it's audible to other people. Phew - mine is more of a whooph 8-) Peter.

Re: Medical condition, make audio wave smoother, remove zick zacks
Long answer: when someone speaks at normal volume, (not whispering), it activates the stapedius-reflex in the ears to turn down the sensitivity of hearing, so they don't deafen themselves with their own voice. About half a second after you stop speaking the reflex relaxes, (e.g. at the end of sente...

Re: Griffin iMic
What do you want to plug into the audio device? despite the "Mic" in its name the Griffin iMic was marketed as a device to aid digitizing records and tapes - so I assumed that what what the poster here was requiring. ;) Griffin discontinued it long ago (as they admit themselves there are much bette...

Re: How to open a file without hours and hours of nothing appearing after it.
Curiously I experienced exactly that recently when I was doing QA testing on the alpha test build I have for 3.0.0 - but it was just the once and I was never able to repeat it.
