Re: Audacity will only launch when logged in as administrato
I'm puzzled here because I run a Macbook Pro for Audacity QA testing. It came originally this year with El Capitan installed and Audacity 2.1.3 (and various alphas for the upcoming 2.2.0) ran on it on a) my privileged administrator account b) my standard non-privileged user account c) mu totally un-...

Re: 'Export selected audio' is greyed out
I am using windows 10 home, 64-bit, version 1709, Os build 16299.19 (the creators update) using a Dell XPS13 9350 laptop and am unable to use the 'export selected audio' button because it is 'greyed out' It's normally grayed-out if you have made no selection (or if you don't have the autoselect tur...

Re: Zero Play Length of Some File When Exporting Multiple
I'm assuming these are point labels - correct? If so, have you inadvertently nudged the little grabber triangle (of the 16th and 33rd labels). Doing that can turn a point label into a rage label, sometimes a very short range label which you would only see zoomed-in extremely close. And note it is al...

Re: I received an aup file and cannot open it
You need a lot more than an aup file - you also need the project's data folder.

Re: How to use labels to silence regions of 1 track?
Not ideal - but if I wanted a range label between two point labels this is what I would do: 1) Click in the waveform neat one of the labels till I see the yellow sticky marker 2) drag in the waveform to the other label - and get the yellow sticky 3) this gives you a selection 4) Ctrl+B will label th...

Re: How to use labels to silence regions of 1 track?
grab the little triangle handles and drag left or right (dragging the circle moves the point label)Henr wrote:OK. But how do I 'convert' point labels into region labels?
Just be aware that it's almost impossible to turn a region label back into a point label.

Re: Deleting query
There is no " Delete Project " command or functionality in Audacity (I've always thought there should be - I think I may write a proposal for one) You will need to use Windows Explorer to the .aup file and the related project data file: See this page in the Audacity Manual about the struct...
