Re: Audacity 2.2.0 - What Happened?!?
And moving 'Track Start to Cursor'/ 'Cursor to Track End' from the 'Edit' column was a misguided move as I used them often in conjunction with 'Remove Special'> 'Trim Audio' and 'Delete' all the time. Therre are handy pre-configured shortcuts for those useful if you ase the all the time Shift+J 'Tr...

Re: Audacity 2.20 - What Happened?!?
Big disappointment here-haven't noticed anybody else mentioning these things yet in the forum so I thought I would share this feedback. Some features in 2.20 seem to be dropped or altered for no reason-for example, being able to see the waveform in it's entirety when first opening a file-just to ge...

Re: Problem with Equalization plugin
And it turns out it's a duplicate of a bug we already logged: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1750waxcylinder wrote:Ok so I got this logged: https://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1798
so I updated the thread for that older bug report.

Re: Chain conversion crashes Audacity 2.2.0
If you follow the link to the bug report in my previous post you will see that Steve definitely says it works in 2.1.2 but not in 2.1.3
But nonetheless - whatever the version - it's still a regression.

Re: Problem with Equalization plugin
Good catch solouplay ;) and thanks for the Youtube video (made it simple to see what you were doing) 8-) It's definitely a bug - and it's a regression on 2.1.3 where it works fine - so only affects 2.2.0 and the upcoming 2.2.1 I will log this bug later on today on our bugtracker (there is very littl...

Re: Chain conversion crashes Audacity 2.2.0
Yes but I guess this bug (http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=97963) is still in there. Until it's fixed I stay with version 2.1.3. Yes that bug is still there (or the residual part that affects chains remains) We managed to fix the non-chains use of File>Open to import a file so...

Re: How to read a track on my turn table before recording
Yes, just turn monitoring on by clicking in the Recording meter.
See this page in the Manual: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/met ... #recording
It's useful to be able to do this as you can then set the recording levels before making the recording.

Re: Chain conversion crashes Audacity 2.2.0
I suggest using the RC2 Release Candidate from here: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-devel.html
It's extremely close to being the release for 2.2.1 (the only differences will be a README file that was omitted for Linux - plus some additional foreign language updates)

Re: How to automatically chop or cut a track into short piec
When it comes to tag filling out it peskily asks to fill out the audio info even if I just want to clear all tags on every one I have to do it one by one each. Try going to Edit > Preferences > Import Export and uncheck the box that says Show Metadata Tags editor before export See this page in the ...
